The Moodabidri Gurupeetha (Religious seat) belongs to the Acharya Kunda Kunda indigenous tradition. Bhattaraka means a scholar who has mastered all branches of knowledge, arts with unquenching thirst for knowledge. In other words, the Bhattaraka is expected to be well-versed in religious knowledge, knowledgeable through much reading, well-wisher of monks and Great Souls’ and he should propagate religious principles.

The present Swamiji is a great Scholar of Jaina Darshana (Jain Philosophy), Ratnakarandaka Visharada, a diploma-holder in Civil engineering and a degree holder in Economics. He occupied the seat of Guru peetha on 29th August, 1999. He is involved in right earnest, in the propagation of Jainism and he is a multi-linguist, a writer, a profound scholar, a genius, knows architecture, a promoter and patron of arts; Moodbidri, known as Jain Kashi is progressing under his guidance. He heads the 18 Basadi (Jain temples) one of which is the “Guru-Basadi” also called “Sidhanta-Darshana” which houses priceless statues cut in a variety of precious stones; under the Swamiji’s right leadership and guidance all the relevant religious services are being undertaken methodically; next to the Swamiji come, in the right order. He has extensively traveled across India, UK, USA, Canada, SPAIN NEWZEALAND, UAE, JAPAN, HONGKONG, SINGAPORE, MALESIA, NEPAL, Australia and many other countries to lead the religious functions and to deliver talks on international religious forums.
